What families say on the West Sussex Local Offer page.

"I would like to say how amazing Time Aside is run by the amazing (staff). This is fantastic for both my girls and me. (They) are always so friendly and welcoming. The girls can paint, make craft items, draw and colour, play with clay and all the wonderful sensory toys. At home all they want to do is play on their tablets so to get them out doing other things and interacting with other children is fantastic. They can make as much mess as they like and I enjoy painting with them. It's also great to be able to talk to other parents. To me, it's essential and I could not imagine ever being without it. It is a lifeline for me and my girls. Thank you so much (Time Aside) xx"

Sessions for Children and Young People with Disabilities and their Families in West Sussex 2017 to 2018

These sessions are for all families with children or young people with additional needs and are funded by West Sussex Council's 'Short Breaks' program. These sessions are in partnership with Mid Sussex and Chichester Children and Family Centres.

Although these sessions are for those who fit the criteria, of 0 - 18 years old with a medium and high disablity, we understand particularly in the early years that a final diagnosis may not yet have been made and would like to extend a warm welcome to you to come with your family to the sessions.

The 'Sensory Art' sessions enables all to take part regardless of of the level of special need or artistic interest and we use an approach which is fun and where the level and quality of interaction is very important. We pride ourselves in creating a special atmostphere which is full and allows all to feel relaxed and acknowledges the unique individuality for parents, circle of support and childen and young people alike. 'Sensory Art' is a function of play for everybody and the experience does allow us to enjoy all our qualities in the round. Much more is said on this on our 'about page'. Do contact us if you wish to discuss whether these sessions are suitable for you we are more than happy to chat with you.

These are fun family events, including siblings and family members and drop ins are warmly welcomed.
